Field Engineer
Kress is looking for a full time Field Engineer to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries.
The Field Engineer will be responsible for supervising the assembly and commissioning of new equipment in the field. This position also provides on-site technical support, troubleshooting malfunctions, performing maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery at customer locations, ensuring proper equipment operation, and acting as a liaison between the customer and the manufacturing company to address any issues that may arise.

Field Engineer
Kress is looking for a full time Field Engineer to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries.
The Field Engineer will be responsible for supervising the assembly and commissioning of new equipment in the field. This position also provides on-site technical support, troubleshooting malfunctions, performing maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery at customer locations, ensuring proper equipment operation, and acting as a liaison between the customer and the manufacturing company to address any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities –
- Provide onsite supervision to successfully assemble & commission new equipment
- Perform onsite operator and maintenance training
- Develop customized maintenance programs as required for new equipment
- Assist customers with technical inquiries
- Provide information from field experiences for product improvements
- Possess strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work multiple tasks at once
- Availability to travel on short notice
Qualifications -
- High school diploma required
- Must have 2 years technical education in heavy equipment
- Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience in heavy mobile equipment service and repair
- Solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical control systems
