KRGV-TV, Channel 5 News, the ABC Affiliate and #1 news station in the McAllen-Harlingen- Wesley-Brownsville, Texas market (#83), is looking for an experienced Creative Services Producer.
Qualified candidates must be self-starters with hands-on knowledge and experience with shooting videos, strong writing skills, and understanding of proper lighting techniques.
The Creative Services Producer must be able to work closely with business owners, television sales executives, and management. The candidate must be able to listen to a business owner’s advertising needs and translate them into a written script, capture footage, and compile that information into a television commercial. The position requires the candidate to create promotional spots. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with creative camera and editing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Strong communication skills are required.
This Position is Full-Time.
Responsibilities:
- Client Management:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients throughout commercial production.
- Work closely with clients to understand their goals and needs for commercial production.
- Assist with creative direction to ensure the final product aligns with client objectives.
- Videography & Photography:
- Plan, set up, and execute video shoots for commercials.
- Capture high-quality still images as needed for projects or client campaigns.
- Operate a range of professional cameras, lighting, and other production equipment.

Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- 3 years of experience in commercial, video, or related roles.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful commercial productions for clients.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in video production tools and software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
- Exceptional communication and client relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry trends and an eye for innovative content.
- Experience working with clients from various industries is preferred (auto, retail, home services, healthcare, furniture, legal)
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media video production is preferred.
- Experience in scripting, directing, shooting, and editing is preferred.
