Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Manager to lead and maintain our quality assurance processes within a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with ISO, FDA, and other relevant standards.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, customer requirements, and company quality policies.
- Conduct internal audits, manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and oversee external audits from regulatory bodies.
Process Improvement & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze production processes and quality metrics to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality and report findings to management.
Product Quality & Inspection
- Oversee incoming raw material inspections, in-process checks, and final product testing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Develop and enforce quality control processes, including testing protocols and inspection plans.
- Lead non-conformance investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Leadership & Training
- Manage and mentor the quality assurance team, providing training on quality processes and best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability across all departments.
- Coordinate with production, compliance , and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and enhance product reliability.
Customer Satisfaction & Supplier Quality Management
- Address customer complaints and oversee corrective actions to improve product quality and safety..
- Work closely with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for raw materials and components.
- Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality expectations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-level quality assurance role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and principles (ISO 9001, TS 16949, etc.).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and risk management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in quality control software and data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, or a related field.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
- Experience in food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as FDA, GMP, Dietary Supplements, and Organic.
