Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging components.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delays, quality, or shortages.
- Assist in following up with lead times with vendors.
- Track and maintain stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished products to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate inventory planning and forecasting based on production schedules and demand.
- Support inventory audits and ensure accurate records in ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Align supply chain operations with production schedules to ensure materials are available for manufacturing runs.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to manage inbound and outbound shipments efficiently.
- Oversee order fulfillment, shipping schedules, and transportation logistics to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate supply chain records, including purchase orders, inventory reports, and shipping documentation.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, supplier performance, and logistics metrics.
- Other Duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards (FDA, HACCP, GMP).
- Work with quality control teams to address any supply chain-related quality concerns.
- Follow best practices for sustainability and waste reduction in the supply chain.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or inventory management, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing/co-packing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain software (ERP, WMS), Microsoft Excel, and data analysis.
- Problem-Solving & Organization: Strong analytical skills to manage multiple priorities and resolve supply chain challenges efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate records.
- Sense of Urgency: Ability to work under pressure, respond quickly to supply chain disruptions, and make swift decisions to prevent delays.
- Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with suppliers, warehouse teams, and production staff.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA, GMP, HACCP, and food safety compliance is a plus.
- Setting: Office, warehouse, and production floor environments. Hot and cold environment based on the season.
