Krier & Blain, Inc. performs plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration work with it's own staff. We are well versed on a variety of types of construction, such as hospitals, nursing homes, warehouses, apartment buildings, office buildings, and working in delicate equipment areas in computer rooms and with communication equipment. We have performed cost plus, design build, and conventional bid projects.
We are working on campus and at 3M and are looking for local talent to help with the building project.
Job Overview:
We are seeking Construction Laborers to join our team as we work on campus at SDSU and at 3M. As a Construction Laborer, you will assist plumbing and sheetmetal Journeyman on various tasks on the construction site. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites
- Perform general labor tasks, such as lifting and carrying materials
- Operate power tools and equipment under supervision
- Support skilled tradespeople in their daily tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Help with construction inspections and ensure compliance with building codes
Requirements: *Must be at least 18 years old*
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work well with others on the job site
This is primarily designed as a summer position. Permament positions are available but most of our jobs are wthin 60 miles of Sioux Falls.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
