Interior Designer

We are seeking a team-minded creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our client centric Delight-Driven-Design team, ideally for a long, long time! The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of interior design principles and have the ability to transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. This role requires the desire and capacity to understand and enjoy people, collaboration with the team, contractors and of course, our clients and to ensure that design concepts are executed beautifully and effectively while adhering to project timelines, budgets and our Delight-Driven-Design principals.

Duties

• Create personally curated interior design concepts that aim to enchant and surprise while aligning with client needs, preferences and budget
• Take designs from conception to completion
• Build relationship and trust with clients and team
• Create detailed design plans using software such as Chief Architect a plus
• Conduct site assessments and collaborate with contractors on remodeling projects.
• Work within the scope estimate being mindful of estimated time allotments
• Select appropriate materials, furnishings, lighting designs, and color schemes based on the project scope and within budget constraints
• Present designs to clients and refine based on feedback.
• Oversee the implementation of design projects from conception through completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in interior design with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
• Proficiency in design software preferred, we use Chief Architect.
• Strong awareness of budgeting practices related to interior design projects.
• Knowledge of remodeling processes, lighting design principles and furniture layouts
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Strong, solutions-minded problem solving skills and capacity for conflict management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for understanding our clients and creating beautifully curated and highly personal spaces that evoke delight.
• Strong ability to connect on a human level.
• Broad knowledge of trade vendors, products, fixtures, finishes and materials at a range of price points.
• Ability to create enchanting visual presentations that communicate the look and feel of the proposed designs.
