Live-In Housekeeper Needed – Port Washington
Job Code: LIPortWashington1
Kids' Ages: 2.5-year-old boy and 8-month-old girl
Salary: $240-300/day
Schedule:
- 5-6 days per week (Sunday off ideally work Friday and Saturday)
- Typical hours: 7 AM - 7:30 PM
- Occasional evening/night monitor duty if parents go out
Responsibilities:
Daily Cleaning
- Kitchen: Morning (after breakfast) and evening (after dinner)
- Bedrooms: 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms (3 in use)
- Living spaces: Maintain cleanliness in common areas and high-traffic zones
- Laundry: Family laundry and linens
- General tidying and organization
Weekly Tasks
- Mop/vacuum floors (upstairs and downstairs)
- Dusting throughout the home
- Pantry and closet organization
- Special projects as needed
Cooking
- Prepare one large kosher meal daily (no shellfish)
- Simple, nutritious meals for the children
Occasional Childcare
- Assist with very limited childcare, such as monitoring the baby monitor at night if parents go out (children will already be asleep).
- Collaborate with the family’s full-time nanny, who manages all primary childcare responsibilities.
Requirements:
- 5 years of professional housekeeping experience (must have references from long-term families)
- Warm, flexible, and proactive with a positive attitude
- Must have strong cooking skills
- Ideally able to travel internationally (preferred but not required)
- Ideally able to drive (preferred but not required; a car is provided if needed)
- Must be comfortable working in a family-oriented environment with young children
