Description
The Inventory Decanter position is essential because it aids inventory control, food safety, traceability, efficiency, and accurate cost of goods tracking. The function of this position is to pull specific quantities of products from inventory for processing, accurately track the return of Work-In-Progress to inventory, and perform material handling duties in support of the Food Production Team. This is a labor-intensive position that requires long hours on your feet, lifting boxes, and moving inventory. The ideal candidate will be organized, responsible, a good communicator, and willing to document their work.
Job Duties:
- Reports to Production Manager
- Maintain Holding Rooms organized and clean.
- Decant exact amounts of raw product for production needs in a food-safe and efficient manner.
- Properly rotate inventory by lot FEFO (First expire, first out).
- Follow the product picking guides SOP (standard operating procedure).
- Accurately communicate inventory counts to the Warehouse Manager and the Inventory Manager.
- Restock warehousing slots with material handling equipment.
- Communicate with the Production Manager and quality issues found while decanting product intended for processing.
- Ensuring health standards, safety, and security procedures are followed.
- Report any deficiencies to the manager in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and Teamwork
- Organized, Accurate, Able to Prioritize and Multitask
- Forklift, double reach truck, and electric riding pallet jack experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.
- Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Can lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with using and reading Excel spreadsheets is a plus.
- Work in a cold environment
- Complete and follow written work instructions daily.
