Nature of Work:
The Director, Social Media at Major League Fishing (MLF) is responsible for creating, developing and executing the organization's overall social media strategy. This role requires an experienced, creative, organized leader with demonstrated experience in social media management, a deep understanding of social media strategies, and the ability to drive engagement and growth across all social media platforms.
Examples of Work Performed:
- Create, develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies.
- Lead and manage the social media team to achieve engagement, growth and monetization goals.
- Collaborate closely with internal content-creation team to ensure that all social media content aligns with MLF’s brand and messaging.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of content across all social media platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate social media strategies with overall marketing and communications plans.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance and provide reports on key metrics for monetization and engagement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging social media platforms.
- Manage relationships with external content creators and influencers.
- Develop and manage social media budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications:
- Minimum:
- BS/BA degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in social media management.
- Expert-level understanding of all social-media platforms, social monetization and content creation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in social media tools and platforms.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of the tournament bass-fishing industry is strongly preferred.
- Certification or additional degree.
- Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
