Nature of Work:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide HR support to our KSE Media business units. In this role, you will collaborate with leaders and employees to foster a high-performing, positive, and inclusive work environment, ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for executing HR initiatives and managing key HR functions such as talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
HR Operations:
- Support day-to-day HR operations and assist in executing HR programs, ensuring alignment with company values and culture.
- Perform key HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, development, performance management, employee engagement, and separation.
- Maintain employee personnel records and ensure compliance.
- Assist employees in handling and processing worker’s compensation claims.
- Assist in responding to unemployment claims.
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, and employee development.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as an unbiased point of contact for employee relations issues, working to resolve conflicts, concerns, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Coordinate and conduct employee relations investigations under HR Manager supervision, as necessary, ensuring adherence to policies and legal requirements.
- Proactively engage with employees to address concerns and promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
Workforce Planning & Organizational Development:
- Assist with gathering and reporting HR data related to employee performance, retention, and engagement.
- Support efforts to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of HR practices and organizational effectiveness.
Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and KSE and league policies.
- Educate employees on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support HR reporting and documentation requirements to ensure adherence to legal standards and organizational protocols.
Special Projects & Initiatives:
- Collaborate and contribute to HR-related projects and initiatives aimed at improving the employee experience, optimizing HR practices, and achieving organizational goals.
- Complete special projects as assigned which could include conducting research; developing and organizing information; forming conclusions and recommendations.
- Support and execute initiatives related to company-wide events, wellness programs, and employee recognition.

Qualifications:
- Minimum
o Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
o 1-3 of experience in Human Resources or a related role, with a strong understanding of HR functions.
- Preferred
o HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
o Experience working in the sports and entertainment industry, or similar.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (Paycor preferred, but not required).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and on a team, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player who can work effectively across departments.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Typical office conditions.
- Ability to travel to different offices in the Denver Metro area as needed.
Compensation:
- Base salary range $56,485-$60,000 annum
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
