Loss Prevention Specialist (Karl y 3)

Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Loss Prevention Manager in detecting, reporting and resolving matters in the area of inventory shortage, cash handling and theft. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

• Investigate all evidence of unlawful activity or activity contrary to policy or procedure relating to the security of company assets in any department. Insure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to security.
• Identification of causes and/or conditions of loss or potential loss to all company assets achieved via interaction with stores or through direct notification.
• Maintain and record cash control, and invoices in access database.
• Create and maintain complete and accurate incident and restitution files.
• Create and maintain cooperation and a good working relationship with law enforcement agencies.
• Constant evaluation and development of means to identify and control areas of loss including cash and inventory.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to maintain physical security and protection of assets.
• Monitor closed circuit television systems, if applicable.
• Keep Loss Prevention Manager informed of all incidents.
• Coordinate schedule of Inventory Counts and Cash Audits for stores, compile data and send to KASH for input.
• Attend hearings and courtroom trials as needed.
• Serve as primary back up to the Loss Prevention Manager
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all matters.
• Supports, upholds, and enforces all Company policies, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• 2-3 years experience working in a retail setting and/or security background.
• Ability to travel independently.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

Desired Previous Job Experience

• Retail or other Security experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
• Proficient computer skills
