Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating various types of heavy machinery. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment on job sites, contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, dump trucks, cranes, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and loaders.
- Perform digging and excavation tasks as required for construction projects.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Build and maintain safe work environments by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and report any malfunctions to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery, including bulldozers, Skidsteers, Excavators, Loaders and Backhoes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
