Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring that products are loaded, unloaded, and stored correctly. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols to maintain a productive work environment.
Duties
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using various equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Build and organize pallets for storage or shipment to ensure safe transport of goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in stocktaking as required.
- Follow OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Skills
- 1 year forklift experience is a must.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards is a plus.
