RESPONSIBILITIES : Develop and drive import / export control complianceHandle import / export procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations including HTS, denied party screening, ECCN coding, NAFTA, valuation, country of origin, licensing, SAP data base, commercial invoices, recordkeeping, and special trade programsPerform internal and external trade compliance audits and report to the businessClassify parts for import and export per the government guidanceMaintain and update Krones Customs Compliance Export Policy and Procedure ManualCreate and conduct employee training programs, including daily reference materialInteract substantially with Krones Group, parent company, and subsidiary companies to determine import / export requirements and partnering to develop ongoing compliant business / sales / operational strategies worldwideCommunications, forms, documentation, and interaction with US Customs, government agencies, brokers and / or freight forwardersCreate and provide reports as required for daily job functions or as upper management requiresRegularly moderate resources and stay abreast of ongoing changes and updates to US Government regulation, as they apply to Krones exportsPerform any other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS : Education : High school education or equivalent requiredExperience and / or Training : Minimum 3-5 years of experience including policy, procedure, work instructions, HTS classifying, COO, NAFTA, denied party screening, ECCN, and licensingExperience directing policy compliance, tracking regulatory changes, as well as training and effectively communicating across all levels of the organization, including senior executives and functional groupsMinimum 3 years of experience classifying parts, per the CBP harmonized tariff schedule, to be imported into the USA is requiredExperience creating export shipping documentation for Canada and Mexico is required, and experience creating shipping documentation for countries outside of North America is preferredKrones, Inc. offers an outstanding opportunity to be involved with and challenged by leading-edge technologies, further career opportunities to learn and develop skills, a flexible work schedule and a competitive salary and benefits program.
