We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HSE Engineer to join our team at the UMD P3 Project in Baltimore Maryland (on site position – no remote working available for this position). This role is crucial in supporting the HSE Manager to administer the HSE management system effectively, particularly in an environment involving multiple contractors and simultaneous operations occurring in parallel. The Senior HSE Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a culture of safety among contractors and field operators.

The Senior HSE Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a culture of safety among contractors and field operators.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Preferred university degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management).
- Certifications: Safety certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are preferred.
- Minimum of [4-6] years of relevant experience in HSE roles, with demonstrated experience in confined space entry, work-at-height operations, and life-critical activities.
- Experience in operational power plants or energy generation facilities is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in construction roles will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and risk management practices.
- Proficient in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
