This dynamic position is a key member of our Quality team and will be responsible for Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement activities relating to external customers, internal processes, and suppliers. This position will have responsibility to drive strategic corrective / preventative action projects as well as Strategic Quality Plan initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs analysis of reports and production data and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products and recommends corrective actions when necessary
Compile and present reporting data to provide an overhaul scorecard of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly metrics for presentation to Sr. Leadership
Partner with Site Quality leader and lead the QAE and Inspection groups when needed
Implements, evaluates, and revises, technical quality assurance protocols/methods
Ensures activities and items are in compliance with quality assurance standards applicable government regulations and customers’ requirements
Works directly with customers to support product/process evaluations, audits, and compliance to customer-specific requirements
Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed
Support product/process evaluations, audits
Performs internal audits of processes and functions to assure continued compliance to international standards, requirements, and applicable government regulations
Leads and facilitates multi-disciplined RCCA and problem-solving
Position will support compliance to ISO9001, AS9100, AS13000
Ability to Review and Interpret Repair and Overhaul Manuals and Engineering drawings
Ability to Review and Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to setup, modify and create SAP inspection plans
YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree in related fields
5 years experience in Repair & Overhaul / OEM Manufacturing
3 years experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 D Auditing
3 years experience with ERP / SAP system
Must be a U.S. person due to contractual requirements
WE VALUE:
Quality Engineering in an Aerospace function
R&O Analytical, Preliminary Review Board, Airworthiness Review Board and Hardware Review Committee experience
Experience with Tableau, SAP in an analytical environment
Experience with Parts Per Million, Quality Escapes and identifying trends
Prior audit experience in a manufacturing environment
Advanced experience in PowerPoint and Excel functions, pivot tables and formulas
Excellent communication skills and be able to work equally well with executive, engineers, supervisors, and operators.
Ability to work both independently and within a team, and be proficient in interpreting and applying established standards
Quality Assurance Team / project lead and supervisory experience
Net-Inspect, Teamcenter, Aerospace Supplier Portal (HASP), Supplemental Purchase Order Conditions Manual (SPOC),
Lean – Six Sigma methodologies experience and certification
