We are seeking a Software Certification Engineer to join our world-class team and play a key role in certifying cutting-edge avionics software for commercial, military, and space applications. In this role, you will ensure software products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as DO-178C, and contribute to the development of safe, reliable, and high-quality aviation systems.

We are seeking a Software Certification Engineer to join our world-class team and play a key role in certifying cutting-edge avionics software for commercial, military, and space applications. In this role, you will ensure software products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as DO-178C, and contribute to the development of safe, reliable, and high-quality aviation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support software certification efforts in accordance with DO-178C and other applicable regulatory standards (DO-330, DO-331, etc.).
- Collaborate with software development teams to plan and execute software certification activities.
- Develop and review certification artifacts including Plans, Standards, Reports, and checklists.
- Interface with DERs, FAA, EASA, and/or other certification authorities to resolve findings and obtain approval.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with software lifecycle processes.
- Support gap analysis and closure plans for legacy programs.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives related to certification and quality assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in avionics software development or certification.
- Strong understanding of DO-178C and related certification processes.
- Experience working with FAA, EASA, or other aviation authorities.
- Knowledge of DO-254, ARP4754A, and ARP4761.
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe development environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Previous experience working with Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs).
- Knowledge of tools like Jira, IBM DOORS, or Polarion.
