Director of Emergency Medical Services

Krucial Rapid Response is assisting in the search for a Emergency Medical Services Director for Cedar County, Iowa!

This is direct hire staffing opportunity through Krucial Rapid Response, driven by a mission to serve others at their greatest time of need.

PAY: $72,280.00/Yr. - $81,868.00/Yr.

* $10,000 Bonus** (Bonus is paid over 3 years on annual basis as the EMS Service Department is established and grows)

The new EMS Director will be responsible for building and launching the new emergency services department. This position will lead the administrative and day to day operations of the Cedar County Ambulance Service, while providing oversight to all EMS personnel, ensuring exceptional patient care.

Applicants must be currently certified as a paramedic and maintain all applicable required certifications.

Requirements and Qualifications for EMS Director:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Certified Paramedic (10 years preferred clinical experience ALS provider)
• 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role in an EMS organization
• ICS 100, 200, 700 Certifications
• Must possess and maintain credentials in EVOCC driver training
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Must be a resident of (or obtain residence in) Cedar County, Iowa within 6 months of hire.
• Director must acquire and maintain all necessary BLS and ALS certifications and licensure throughout employment, as required by the state of Iowa.
• Initially the position schedule will be Mon-Friday, normal business hours. However, EMS Director must have availability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime (extended hours) when necessary to cover open shifts or help respond to incidents.
