What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technician position at Krucial Rapid Response?
Krucial Rapid Response is looking for a Radiology Tech to assist in Benkelman, NE at the Dundy County Hospital!
This is a 13 week contract healthcare staffing opportunity through Krucial Rapid Response driven by our mission to service others in their greatest time of need.
Pay: $3,180.00 weekly
Shift: 10-hour shifts x4 days/week 7:00am - 17:00pm
Job Summary: Will perform x-ray examinations with speed and accuracy. Keep patient’s comfort and safety in consideration at all times. Utilize all equipment with caution to prevent damage to the equipment or harm to the patient. Utilize proper radiation precautions for the patient, the staff, and himself or herself. Assist with accurate handling of images and reports. Assist with cleaning duties of the room equipment and department as needed
Nature and Scope:
1. Have full knowledge of anatomy, positioning, physics, radiation hazards and protection.
2. Should be capable of performing examinations with as little radiation as possible, following technique charts that are currently being utilized.
3. Should have a working knowledge of sterile procedures and isolation techniques.
4. Should be capable of managing any anxiety reaction that may occur with a patient.
5. Staff member will answer phones when needed.
6. Adapt in entering date/printing data on computer.
7. Will be asked to do various statistical reports when needed.
8. Be familiar with the process of mailing films and other information as required by the department.
Principle Responsibilities:
1. Must be conscious that errors can be serious and to take every precaution to avoid them.
2. Shows compassion and understanding with all the patients, always taking their comfort and safety into consideration.
3. Uses proper positioning and radiation techniques.
4. Works under supervision of the Chief Radiologic Technologist.
5. Will adhere to all procedures and policies as stated in the Dundy County Hospital’s employee handbook at all times.
6. If any problems arise that he/she cannot manage, he/she will report to the Chief Technologist for assistance.
7. Does not discuss patient matters such as medical treatment, diagnosis, or history outside of the clinical setting.
8. Maintains a positive attitude and a professional demeanor.
9. Dresses in appropriate attire.
10. Maintains high personal hygiene standards.
11. Willingly accepts new responsibilities and cooperates with implementation of change.
12. Possess average or above visual and auditory abilities.
13. Attendance and punctuality are an essential requirement for this position. Time off requests must be approved by supervisor/administrator in advance.
Requirements for Radiology Tech:
- License Verification (ARRT)
- BLS Certification
- Nebraska Radiology License
- X-ray Tech
