Family owned machine shop is looking for a hands on Maintenance Technician. This individual will be responsible for leading the repair and preventative maintenance of our shop. You will be responsible for the structure, electrical systems, machinery and equipment, heating a plumbing systems. This position plays a key role in maintaining and improving production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations across the facility

Essential Duties:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment with minimal supervision
- Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance work on shop equipment
- Interprets maintenance manuals, drawings and specifications to determine repair and troubleshooting and procedures
- Dissembles, repairs, replace part on and reassemble equipment
- Perform basic fabrication and assembly
- Maintains facility by performing general upkeep and repair operations
- Maintains facility heating, cooling and ventilating systems
- Perform basic electrical tasks (e.g., lighting, motors, switches) and diagnose issues with control systems
- Assists with the moving, relocation and installation of equipment
- Moves and stores hazardous materials in accordance with environmental and safety procedures
- Follows lockout / tagout procedures
- Completes all required documentation
- The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background in an industrial setting and be passionate about preventative maintenance, process improvement, and hands-on problem-solving
- Must have strong attention detail, a sense of urgency, communication, and willingness to learn
- This position requires a broad knowledge and experience in welding, fabrication, plumbing, and some electrical knowledge
- Qualified candidates must be able to read and work from blueprints and diagrams
- 3 years experience preferred
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics and NC/CNC controls is a plus
- Knowledgeable of electrical and hydraulic systems
- Basic knowledge of metal and fabrication
