What You Will Do
The Director, Sales will support our Consumer Sales US business and will develop plans for the US Private Label business. You will have the responsibility to execute the customer sales strategy, required products, as well as identify and manage manufacturing issues.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Develop, execute, and track plans to achieve our goals for the assigned customers
- Lead the preparation of innovative Own Brand programs that achieves Preferred Corporate Brand Partner status for us at selected customers
- Achieve Corporate Net 2 targets for the Accounts while maximizing both VGP and direct contribution on each product within the Own Brand program
- Ensure an on-going category analysis from the retailer, total market, and competitive level is prepared and delivered to customers
- Identify competitive threats, technology, and quality required and work with PD, Quality, R & D and manufacturing to develop solutions
- Play an active role in participating in key account presentations
- Support the Corporate Director Sales, Consumer Business in developing all areas of the US business and supporting with additional projects
- Post secondary degree. Business and Marketing preferred.
- At least 5 years of CPG Sales and Management experience
- Strong background in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry, with proven track record in Own Brand business development.
- Excellent communication (written and oral), presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge of Own Brand methodology and category management principals
- Up-to-date expertise in all job-related facets of consumer tissue paper industry a plus
- Project Management experience a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed
