Summary:
The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for overseeing all operations and activities at their assigned location. This role involves a mix of office-related tasks and field-related activities. Key responsibilities include record keeping, scheduling, billing, interviewing and hiring, job site quality and safety checks, customer service calls, and fleet and equipment maintenance management. The OM will spend a significant amount of time driving between sites and may need to engage in manual labor alongside crew members for training and assistance purposes. Proficiency in computer use and the ability to learn Krystal Klean operations software is required. The OM must manage a dynamic work environment with employees of varied skill levels, work flexible hours, and be reachable by phone 7 days a week.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA):
- Customer Service and Quality Control:
Oversee and engage in regular communication with customers, ensuring high satisfaction through precise execution of services by the branch team.
- Operational Oversight:
Lead the branch in adhering to company standards for safety, human resources management, environmental compliance, asset management, and procedural practices.
- Operational Efficiency:
Achieve profitability goals through efficient scheduling and purchasing, consistently applying company best practices.
- Branch Employee Training and Leadership:
Hire, train, and manage all branch employees, promoting an environment that upholds the values of Krystal Klean.
Communication Plan:
- Weekly:
Submit a weekly report to Corporate via email.
- Monthly:
Meet with Corporate Team to review the previous month's P&L and plan for the upcoming month.
- Bi-annually:
Meet with the Corporate Team for a personal review and to set goals for upcoming periods.
Regular Duties:
- Oversee all branch-level employees, including hiring, training, and supervising.
- Perform two job site safety and quality checks per week.
- Respond to operational problems in the field, such as breakdowns or injuries.
- Schedule all branch work and employees.
- Bill and reconcile all branch work weekly by Monday at 5 PM.
- Make personal customer service calls.
- Address customer issues or complaints.
- Coordinate with Sales & Marketing staff on quotes and branch growth.
- Manage repairs and maintenance of all branch equipment.
- Maintain the physical branch location.
- Respond to emergency and special customer requests.
- Hold monthly branch safety meetings.
- Conduct bi-annual reviews of all branch employees.
Work Environment:
The OM will engage in activities both in an office environment and in the field. This includes record keeping, job site checks, customer service calls, and other visits or meetings. Long periods of driving may be required. The OM may also need to work alongside crew members for training and assistance.
