Position Overview: The Communications Specialist will support the Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) G-7, Communications Strategy & Operations (COMSTRAT) branch. The role involves advising commanders and staff on communication strategies, integrating communication plans, and developing written and visual content to inform key stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:
· Conduct research and analyze the communication environment to inform decision-making.
· Develop and implement communication strategies, campaigns, and plans.
· Create and distribute communication products such as news releases, fact sheets, and digital content.
· Advise leadership on public affairs and strategic communications.
· Manage stakeholder engagement, including media relations and public outreach.
· Monitor and evaluate communication efforts to ensure effectiveness.
· Support crisis communication planning and response efforts.
Requirements
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least ten (10) years of specialized experience, or Master’s Degree and at least four (4) years of specialized experience.
- Experience in public affairs, digital engagement, or public relations.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Familiarity with government or military communication strategies is preferred.
