Introduction
With headquarters in Tromsø, Norway, Kongsberg Satellite Services AS (KSAT) supplies ground station services for satellite communications. KSAT is the world’s largest supplier of services for telemetry, tasking and control (TT&C) and data acquisition from non-geostationary satellites.
Summary of Position
KSAT USA is seeking a mid-career professional, with experience in project and program management. As a Program Manager in KSAT’s Satellite Ground Services team, the Program Manager will be responsible for implementing and leading satellite ground communications solutions and other space related projects from development to operations.
The Program Manager will lead technical interdisciplinary teams consisting of members from the various departments in KSAT, such as infrastructure, engineering, and operations, and be responsible for planning, execution, and daily management of a portfolio of customer projects. The Program Manager will manage subcontractors, partners, and procurements within each project. The Program Manager will work closely with the sales and business development team during the bid phase and be KSAT’s point of contact towards customers for technical matters from project initialization to closeout.
The Program Manager will work as part of a matrixed organization, functionally reporting to KSAT’s Direct of Programs, Espen Sagen, who resides in Norway. The Program Manager will receive day-to-day support and oversight from Dan Adams, General Manager of KSAT USA.
The role will be local to the Greater Denver region. Relocation assistance to the Greater Denver region is available for the right candidate.

Details of the Role
Essential Job Duties, Responsibilities, Requirements:
Primary tasks and responsibility
- Deliver projects on time, quality, and cost
- Lead cross-functional and diverse project teams
- Be a visible within internal and external meetings as the assigned leader responsible for project success
- Manage and develop relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Focus on risk and cost management
- Support sales and business development to grow KSAT’s contract backlog
Requirements
- Current US Citizenship
- Must be clearable for US DoD Security Clearance
Required Experience
- 7 years managing projects supporting USG or commercial space/technology programs
- Experience with DoD programs is preferred
- Demonstrated working experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry is preferred
- Experience in the LEO space industry is preferred
- Demonstrated success delivering projects on budget and on time
- Demonstrated competency with MS Project or similar software tools
- Demonstrated experience communicating across levels and media, including writing and delivering formal status reports to senior internal and external management

Travel

The Top Priorities During the First 6 Months:
- Take ownership of an assigned portfolio of projects, including responsibility for delivery, schedule, and cost.
- Establish relationships with customer points of contact for assigned projects, with recurring meetings/dialogues
- Becoming familiar with internal stakeholders and resources, traveling to Norway for onboarding and team-development activities
Compensation
The target compensation range of this position is $125K - $165K.
