OVERVIEW:
The Pump Shop Supervisor shall oversee all activities within the Pump Shop. This position will require both, supervision and "hands-on" work as needed. The supervisor will ensure all equipment received in the pump shop is disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and that all "as found" forms and reports are completed. The supervisor will help develop a complete and thorough work scope and Bill of Material (BOM) for repair of the equipment to meet Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), KSB – Standard Alloys, and Customer Specifications. Supervisor will ensure that all equipment is reassembled back to OEM, KSB– Standard Alloys, and Customer Specifications and that all documentation and reports are completed. The Supervisor will be responsible for planning to ensure the best use of material and human resources to achieve the company goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Policy Adherence:
- Responsible for ensuring all direct reports adhere to all company policies, attendance policy, procedures and safety rules.
- Shop cleanliness and organization.
Pump Repair, Manufacturing and Production:
- Train and Supervise employees on proper disassembly and re-assembly of pumps and other rotating equipment.
- Repair work scope development.
- Create detailed BOM for the whole pump to support the Engineering and Request for Quotation (RFQ) process.
- Maintain operations tracking on all pump repair jobs.
- Work together with Pump Shop Coordinator to create employee schedule in order to meet demand.
- Interface with the Machine Shop, foundry, and other service centers to coordinate and facilitate job movement between facilities.
- Maintain all quality records in support of work being performed at this location.
- Maintain Operations Reports, Pump Repair Status Reports and assist with Will Ship Report Projections.
- Create training plans and compliance with a training program.
- Support of ISO compliance
- Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and Product Field Complaints (PFC) procedural review.
- Manpower, plant equipment, and scheduling analysis.
- Continuous improvement projects.
- Supervise the pump shop team’s staff schedules and performance with guidance from the Director of Operations.
- Responsible for managing and overseeing non-material spending and operating expenses.
Key Account Coordination:
- Customer interface in support of sales team to facilitate Order Intake, and to understand customer's repair requirements.
- Customer site visits to witness pump start-up and troubleshoot pump problems.
QUALIFICIATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Work experience:
> 5 years’ experience working in a centrifugal pump shop or similar required.
> 10 years’ experience working in a centrifugal pump shop or similar preferred.
- Developed mechanical skills to be able to use and understand mechanical parts, mechanical assemblies, equipment, machines and tools.
- Being able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Being able to use hand and power tools for assembly and maintenance
- Being able to apply basic principles of physics and mechanics
- Being able to use proper lifting techniques
- Being able to assemble and disassemble mechanical components
- Time management - Managing one's own time and ability to identify perceived barriers to our ability to meet the customer's timeline.
- Communication skills - talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Collaboration - team-oriented approach to knowledge sharing.
- Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of other's reactions and interpretation of an appropriate response.

- Computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat as a minimum.
- Manufacturing knowledge - Pump repair experience or similar and familiarization with work scope creation required.
- Quality Assurance System - knowledge of ISO-9001:2008 and ability to train others on company procedures.
- Preferred knowledge on Standard Industry API 610, that specifies requirements for centrifugal pumps used in the petroleum, petrochemical, and natural gas industries, focusing on reliability and robustness knowledge of part types, use and manufacturing processes required to produce components.
- Capable of reading and interpreting of Part and Pump Drawings.
- Capable of writing business documents (plans and procedures).
