Position Summary
We're looking for a confident and strategic Talent Acquisition Manager.
This role is ideal for a recruiter with 2-3 years of experience who thrives in talent acquisition and enjoys guiding hiring leaders toward the best hiring decisions.
The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, ensuring that candidates align with competency-based requirements and organizational needs. This individual will actively source, assess, and engage top talent while effectively partnering with hiring managers. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with external search firms as needed.
Role Accountabilities
• Lead and manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates.
• Conduct structured interviews using competency-based methodologies to assess candidates effectively.
• Partner with key people leaders to develop recruitment strategies, providing guidance and pushback when necessary to ensure optimal hiring decisions.
• Confidently advise and influence hiring managers on best practices and market trends.
• Proactively engage potential candidates, selling opportunities within the organization.
• Leverage data and industry insights to drive recruitment effectiveness and ensure a strong talent pipeline.
• Collaborate with external search firms when appropriate to support critical hiring needs.
• Understand the challenges of the nonprofit sector and how to position opportunities competitively within the talent marketplace.
Competencies that Support your Work
• 2-3 years of experience in recruiting, with a passion for talent acquisition.
• Strong experience conducting competency-based interviews.
• Ability to build relationships with and influence hiring managers at all levels.
• Confidence and maturity to guide leaders in making informed hiring decisions.
• Excellent communication and persuasion skills; not afraid to reach out and
engage top talent.
• Experience recruiting within or understanding the nonprofit sector is a plus.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively
• Understanding of HR processes and talent acquisition trends
• Experience working with applicant tracking software
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations
