Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Room patients, collect vital signs, and document interactions in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
- Provide education on medications, lab test kits, and treatment plans.
- Assist with preparing, packaging, and shipping lab specimens.
Administrative Support:
- Schedule appointments, check patients in and out, and collect copays.
- Call in prescriptions, process refill requests, and manage correspondence.
- Answer and triage calls while ensuring timely communication with healthcare providers.
Clinic Operations:
- Maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms and manage inventory and supplies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness efforts.
- Collaborate with nurses, front office staff, and nurse practitioners to ensure smooth clinic operations.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited CMA or LPN program.
- Current CMA certification or valid state MA/LPN license.
- CPR certification (preferred).
Experience & Skills:
- At least 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry (clinic setting preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Proficient in scheduling, inventory management, and administrative support.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, EHR systems, and documentation.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at time management in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
