Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Data Quality and Entry Specialist to join their Appraisal Team in their Marion, Iowa office. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and up-to-date entry and maintenance of comparable sales data for our Appraisal, Ag Real Estate & Farm Management divisions. You will manage daily database entries, maintain data integrity, and support the smooth operation of our appraisal data systems.


This role requires applying strong analytical skills to create reports, standardize data analysis, and leverage technology to improve processes. The ideal candidate will be focused on accuracy, system upkeep, and data management, thriving in a detail-oriented and methodical environment.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


  • Data Entry, Collection, and Maintenance:
    • Accurately enter and maintain comparable sales and real estate data in the company’s database.
    • Track and input public and private sales within the company’s trade area.
    • Convert real estate transactions into sales data, ensuring all necessary documentation (maps, assessor information, etc.) is included.
  • Data Cleaning, Preparation, and Quality Assurance:
    • Clean and organize data to ensure high accuracy and quality standards are consistently met.
    • Regularly review and audit data entries to ensure completeness, compliance, and accuracy, while identifying and resolving any inconsistencies.
    • Assist in the efforts
    • Assist with data migration and database updates as required.
  • Data Analysis, Interpretation, and Reporting:
    • Analyze sales data using basic statistical techniques to track trends in land values.
    • Collaborate with appraisers to establish and maintain key metrics for comparable sales analysis, including adjustments and regional analysis.
    • Prepare and deliver reports, including upcoming auctions, current listings, closed sales, and land value trends, to support decision-making.
  • Cross Department Data Initiatives Support:
    • Apply standardized data processes developed in the Appraisal division to prepare, analyze, and report data for other departments, ensuring consistency across all business units ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across the company.
    • Collaborate with appraisers and cross department team members to continuously improve data processes, enhancing both data integrity and operational efficiency.
    • Coordinate with management to ensure data priorities align with the company’s business goals, with a focus on integrating and optimizing the CRM system.


    QUALIFICATIONS:


    • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Agricultural Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, data entry, or related fields (real estate, finance, analytics). Experience with real estate or appraisal data is a plus.
    • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage and verify large datasets with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Database Management: Hands-on experience with database management and data entry processes.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
    • Independence and Time Management: Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access). Familiarity with CRM systems and SQL databases is preferred.

      • Conducting thorough data reviews and audits to ensure data integrity.
      • Applying critical thinking and problem-solving to resolve data discrepancies.

      • Follow through on tasks to ensure completion and maintain a high-quality work product.
      • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
      • Handle sensitive and confidential data with professionalism and integrity.
      • Adapt to new data management tools and evolving systems.
      • Accept and incorporate feedback from peers and managers for continuous improvement.
