Die Setters – 1st & 2nd Shift
Location: Peosta, IA | Premier Tool & Manufacturing
Our client, Premier Tool & Manufacturing is hiring Die Setters for both 1st and 2nd Shift at their Peosta, Iowa facility. Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Enjoy your evenings and weekends!
- 2nd Shift:
- Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Three-day weekends every week!
- $0.50/hour shift differential to reward your evening work.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all activities align with the Safety Policy.
- Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures for safety compliance.
- Safely remove and replace stamping tools in presses using fork trucks.
- Bolt tools securely in presses, prioritizing personal and operator safety.
- Adjust tools to the correct shut height following setup procedures.
- Install and verify the functionality of die protection systems.
- Train machine operators on proper operation techniques.
- Identify and suggest improvement ideas to enhance processes.
- Report quality issues raised by operators to the Quality Assurance team.
- Perform job setups in other supportive manufacturing functions as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to operate micrometers, calipers, protractors, or specialized gaging tools (training provided).
- Strong ability to read and follow setup instructions (written and illustrated).
- Patience and willingness to mentor and train team members.
- Positive interpersonal skills to work professionally with a variety of operators.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for both shifts.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Clear communication with supporting departments and adherence to ISO standards.
Experience & Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Relevant manufacturing or tool-setting experience preferred, but entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
