Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: Peosta, IA | Premier Tool & Manufacturing
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Pay: $20/hour with experience
Our client, Premier Tool & Manufacturing has an immediate need for a Forklift Operator for 2nd shift at their Peosta, Iowa facility. This role is essential in ensuring smooth material transport throughout the facility while supporting production efficiency and safety. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support of the Safety Policy in day to day activities.
- Set operators up with product in a manner that promotes efficient throughput.
- Ensure operators manufacturing flow is maintained through supply and removal of containers or skids.
- Assist set up personnel in starting steel coils.
- Remove and replace scrap steel dumpsters as needed.
- Empty dumpsters into scrap trailers and accurately fill out paperwork.
Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift operation experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Ability to operate a fork lift safely in limited space.
- Keen observation to determine skid change frequency.
- Ability to switch priorities in daily tasks to satisfy customer requirements.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to communicate and function as a team member.
- Reliability concerning attendance and punctuality.
- Multilimb Coordination and manual dexterity allowing lifting capabilities up to fifty pounds.
- Knowledge of appropriate ISO policies and procedures.
Experience & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus.
