Orthodontic Assistant with Chairside and Records Training Opportunity
A local Cedar Rapids orthodontics office is seeking a Full-Time Orthodontic Assistant who is passionate about helping people and thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This role primarily focuses on chairside assisting, with the opportunity to grow in orthodontic records training.
We are looking for a candidate who is technically skilled, detail-oriented, dependable, and excels in customer service. You must be efficient, a great communicator, and enjoy working with both patients and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Chairside Assisting (Primary Focus):
- Provide excellent patient care during orthodontic procedures.
- Support the clinical team in delivering a high standard of care.
- Schedule and manage appointments efficiently.
- Maintain clear communication with patients, parents, and the team.
- Assist with sterilization protocols and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Adapt to schedule and location changes with a positive attitude.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Records Technician (Additional Training Provided):
- Take orthodontic records, including photos, digital scans for 3D models, and impressions.
- Capture panoramic, cephalometric, and periapical X-rays with confidence.
- Manage time effectively to complete records promptly.
- Follow sterilization and infection control procedures.

Compensation and Hours:
- This position is for 27-35 hours a week
- 3-4 day work week (no nights or weekends)
