Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Develop and execute strategies to introduce services to new manufacturers.
- Sales and Communication:
- Promote full-service capabilities, including custom machining, automation design, build-out, run-off, and installation.
- Prepare and deliver accurate proposals, quotes, and technical specifications tailored to customer needs.
- Technical Collaboration:
- Partner with engineering teams to solve customer challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client sites.
- Travel Requirements:
- Face-to-face interactions are a key part of this role, with approximately 40% of time requiring overnight travel.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the manufacturing, machining, or automation industries.
- Experience and knowledge of:
- Robot types, brands, and applications
- Machining and automation processes, including PLCs, robotics, vision systems, lasers, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Fixturing methods (automated and manual).
- Machining processes, materials, tolerances, and interpreting 2D/3D CAD prints.
- Ability to create and interpret concept drawings for automation equipment.
