Summary: Responsible for inspecting and testing products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet established quality standards, identifying defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to implement corrective actions to maintain consistent product quality and compliance with industry regulations. Their primary role is to prevent substandard products from reaching customers by rigorously checking materials and finished goods against specifications.

Responsibilities of the Quality Technician:
- Conduct thorough data collection and analysis to assess product quality and compliance.
- Perform routine inspections using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, to ensure specifications are met.
- Execute quality audits to evaluate adherence to established quality systems and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in QA/QC processes.
- Document findings and prepare reports on quality control metrics and audit results.
- Perform (FAI) First Article Inspection, (PPAP) Production Part Approval Process
- Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions for non-conformance issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to quality assurance.
- Perform inspection on incoming and manufactured parts, material and assemblies
- Develop and optimize sampling strategies and machine programs
- Perform electronics testing with special test equipment
- Conduct initial sample testing and provide quality control plans
- Assist in supplier qualifications
- Determine, execute, interpret and complete Quality deficiency statements and event information.
- Supervise and define basic measurement equipment
- Compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities
- Observes job safety at the own work station and periphery
- Generate and implement continuous improvement ideas
- Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.
- Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses
- Oversees the calibration data base and ensures equipment is calibrated

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required (Mechanical/Electrical or Quality Engineering)
- 2- 4 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably electronics)
- 2- 4 years of experience in the implementation and maintenance of AS9100
- 2- 4 years of experience in contractual and specification requirement interpretation
- Minimum of three years of experience in the implementation and maintenance of manufacturing processes (Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Knowledge of IPC Certification standards a plus
- Strong understanding of QA/QC principles and practices.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments for quality assessments.
- Experience performing First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
