About Us:
At Freight Holders Inc., we’re not just hauling freight—we’re building a legacy in the heart of Texas. As a minority-owned, woman-led S-Corp, we stand at the intersection of resilience, vision, and operational excellence. We’re seeking a strategic, financially-minded leader to become the financial engine behind our next phase of growth, especially as we pursue government contracts and certifications.
Role Summary:
We are looking for a Chief Financial Strategist (CFS) to lead the financial framework of our company. This individual will design, implement, and manage all fiscal strategies that align with our ownership structure and ensure full compliance with the State of Texas, IRS regulations, and federal contracting standards.
This role is pivotal, especially for establishing non-payroll-based profit withdrawal systems, overseeing financial compliance for government certifications (e.g., MBE, HUB, WSBO), and guiding us through long-term wealth-building strategies for every stakeholder.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee non-salary distribution systems for 51% majority ownership in line with Texas S-Corp law.
- Build a robust, audit-ready accounting and compliance framework.
- Manage and track capital contributions, shareholder distributions, and profit allocations for all four ownership tiers (51%, 20%, 19%, 10%).
- Lead financial registration processes on SAM.gov, Gov.org, and DUNS.
- Collaborate on strategic planning for NAICS code classification and certification submissions.
- Serve as the financial signatory on business bank accounts and contractual documents.
- Assist with budget development, revenue forecasting, and cost-control strategies.
- Evaluate financial implications of logistics expansion, fleet acquisition, and contract bidding.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passionate and purpose-driven with a heart for underserved communities and emerging enterprises.
- 5 years of experience in financial strategy, CPA, or CFO-level work, preferably in transportation or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of S-Corp taxation, Texas franchise tax, and IRS compliance.
- Ability to bridge the gap between compliance and vision.
- Familiarity with government contracting processes is a major plus.
- High emotional intelligence and integrity-driven decision-making.
What We Offer:
- Equity-based collaboration potential.
- Opportunity to build financial systems from the ground up and lead long-term growth.
- Work alongside a visionary ownership team committed to economic empowerment.
- A mission-oriented culture that values legacy, loyalty, and leadership.
