We offer both Spanish and Mandarin immersion programs for students in grades preschool through 8th grade. Effective Fall of 2025, we will be offering a German language track for intermediate to advanced German language-speakers in our middle school.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dynamic German teacher to teach intermediate and advanced middle school students. This is an hourly position which we expect to be between 9-12 hours per week.
HOW YOU WILL SUPPORT PINE STREET SCHOOL STUDENTS (Hourly, 9-12 hours / week)
- Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and creativity.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and collaboration.
- Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to support student growth and development.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a strong home-school connection.
- Stay current with education research best practices, and continuously reflect on and improve teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement interdisciplinary units of study that connect multiple subjects and real-world issues.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to further personal and professional growth.
- Participate in occasional evening and afterschool obligations, including prep, admissions, ambassador support, parent education, and community building events.
