Green Ivy Schools is hiring Substitute Montessori Preschool teachers to work as on-call subs for the 2024-2025 school year.
Battery Park Montessori located at 21 South End Avenue in Battery Park City, is New York's only trilingual Montessori school, offering Spanish and Mandarin language exposure. Our Montessori-trained teachers nurture each child's social, emotional, cognitive, academic, and physical needs, fostering their independence, natural curiosity, and problem-solving abilities. Partnered with Learning Beautiful's hands-on, tactile, and age-appropriate materials, students are introduced to STEM and coding without ever touching a computer
ABOUT YOU
- You are knowledgeable about the Montessori curriculum and philosophy and are able to successfully employ effective teaching practices. If you are not Montessori credentialed, you are willing and eager to learn about it.
- You enjoy collaborating with fellow teachers and are wiling to heed direction and feedback from them
- You are dedicated to internationalism and anti-bias teaching practices and maintain a positive school culture for everyone in the community
- You have exceptional communication skills with students and teachers and have a nurturing, supportive approach
- You are trustworthy flexible, and dependable
