Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loading and unloading steel materials from semi-truck trailers, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is a temp-to-hire position with full-time hours and the potential for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to load and unload steel materials
- Handle steel products with care to prevent damage
- Follow all site safety procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams for smooth operation
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved
Requirements:
- Valid forklift certification (must be current)
- Experience loading/unloading steel from semi-trailers is required
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Capable of working in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
