Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, assembling, and repairing piping systems in various construction environments. This role requires a strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, codes, and standards. The Pipefitter will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure that all installations meet safety and quality standards.
Duties
- Install and assemble piping systems according to blueprints and schematics.
- Perform tube bending and soldering tasks to create precise fittings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards throughout the installation process.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and functionality.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various pipefitting tasks.
- Collaborate with construction teams on-site to coordinate installation efforts.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing piping systems as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline installation techniques, codes, and standards.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work effectively with hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions typical of construction sites.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.
