Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in facilities maintenance and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively, ensuring that all equipment and systems are maintained to the highest standards.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and facilities.
• Utilize electrical skills to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Weld components as needed for repairs or fabrication projects.
• Lead small teams in maintenance projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Fabricate parts or components as required for repairs or enhancements.
• Conduct inspections using tools such as an ohmmeter to ensure equipment operates within specifications.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimal downtime.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair.
• Welding skills for metal fabrication and repairs.
• Leadership abilities to guide team members effectively.
• Mechanical knowledge for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
• Familiarity with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Competence in using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools.
