Job Description:
- Technical implementation of Storage and backup technologies for Customer
- Point of escalation and support with technical partners and suppliers for ongoing operational support, transitions, and updates related to SGW, storage, and backup technology across customer hosting.
- Technical delivery and support across a range of infrastructure components and services as they relate to storage and backup requirements and technologies, including (but not limited to) Windows, Sun/Solaris, Linux/Unix, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTP, Replication, VMWare, and AWS.
- Implement storage backup technologies, following the implementation schedule for products & tools.
- Support the upgrading, patching, and maintenance of storage and backup software/hardware.
- Support customer on-prem hosting CMMC & SOX strategy to ensure compliance.
- Support Customer EoS/EoL (tech debt) strategy. Ensure we always remain safe and compliant.
- Help reduce and remove the customer EoS/EoL (tech debt) strategy for backup and storage technologies. Ensure we always remain safe and compliant.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure services and hosting (compute, virtualization, storage) technologies.
- Recent experience that shows ability to support Enterprise grade storage and backup Infrastructure
- Experience working in an ITIL environment
- ITIL3 and/or ITIL4 foundation certified
- Able to analyze, diagnose, and resolve deep technical storage and backup challenges as they relate to the implementation of infrastructure-based technologies.
- Deep domain technical expertise operating, leading, and designing compute solutions, including but not limited to Windows, Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Oracle, VMware, Solaris LDOMs, virtualized DCs (VDC), ITAM, vulnerability management tools, and processes to virtualize physical workloads.
- Ability to decompose problems and drive decisions when problems or solutions are not 100% defined
- Technical tenacity. Intense focus on going deep to resolve technical roadblocks.
- Experience with Dell, and AWS SGW storage solutions used across Enterprises today
- Experience with Dell backup technologies used across Enterprise today
- Ability to learn legacy and new technologies across backup and storage
