Manager, Regional Development

 

Role Overview

As the Manager, Regional Development you will be primarily responsible for supporting and growing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities for the Chicago High Density Studio. The Studio aims to expand urban impact in Chicago and across the Midwest. To excel in this role, a minimum of 5 years of client-facing business development experience within the A/E or related industry is required. Key Job Functions

  • Assist in the business planning process by contributing to the definition of goals and objectives and supporting the development of marketing and business development strategies to achieve defined goals.
  • Help track milestones for studio/office growth and compare with competitor and industry trends. Provide input during the business planning process to support business plan goals and objectives, including sales budgets for conferences, events, sponsorships, and memberships.
  • Support effective client engagement by assisting in the development of client profiles, engagement strategies, preparation of presentation materials, and coordination of client meetings. Maintain and update a master client contact list.
  • Collaborate on a client-focused conference strategy and represent the studio at conferences and events that align with the business plan. Assist in identifying speaking opportunities for studio leaders and share conference insights.
  • Research and recommend professional organizations for participation and assist in securing committee roles for key team members. Participate in at least one real estate-focused professional organization that aligns with the studio business plan.
  • Work closely with the national development team, business development counterparts in other offices, and marketing, as well as PR consultants as needed. Share market insights to support business development and marketing strategies.
  • Provide support to studio leaders throughout the customer journey, helping to identify strengths and areas for development.
  • Build and maintain a professional network aligned with the business development strategy. Use structured systems to manage leads, opportunities, and bids.
  • Adhere to KTGY’s standardized best practices for workflow and client engagement. Use the client management system to engage clients and gather feedback. Monitor the sales pipeline and update targets based on performance.
  • Apply the Go/No Go system to help mitigate risks to KTGY.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to support and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across geographies, disciplines, leadership levels, and with a wide range of personalities and working styles.
  • Experience using CRM systems as a tool for business development.
  • Proficiency using the following software:
    1. MS Office
    2. Adobe Suite 


Experience and Education

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a business development capacity within the A/E/C industry, preferably for a multi-disciplinary national architecture firm.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field.

The salary range that the Company expects to pay is $75,000 - 100,000
