Job Description:
KTM, Inc. is seeking applicants for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk position. While prior experience in shipping and receiving is helpful, it is not necessary for success at KTM. We prioritize a positive attitude, the willingness and ability to learn, and a no-drama personality that fits in with our team. Forklift experience is preferred but not required. Starting wages can rise quickly for those who show great skill and effort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Build shipping skids.
- Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean, and neat work area.
- Promptly unload trucks and deliveries and sort and stock receivables.
- Provide additional backup support for manufacturing.
- Operate a forklift to move and organize products and materials.
Skills Needed:
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Problem solving skills are essential.
- Effective communication.
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
- Previous forklift certification is preferred but not required.
Knowledge Required:
- Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
- General knowledge of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to Implement:
- Apply shipping and receiving practices effectively.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
