Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities :

  • Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Assist patients with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, ensuring it is properly stocked with necessary supplies
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and medical staff to coordinate transportation schedules
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including mileage logs and patient information
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to management
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations regarding non-emergency medical transportation
  • Provide exceptional customer service, treating all patients with dignity and respect
  • Pick-up clients at home or other living facility using company provided vehicle . Provides the assistance required to safely board clients and caregivers.
  • Transport clients to and from medical appointments and clinics in Gainesville, Jacksonville, and surrounding counties.
  • Ensures wheelchairs, stretchers, and passengers are properly secured before starting vehicle.
  • Check the vehicle to ensure that no personal items are left behind.
  • Other functions may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Experience in non-emergency medical transportation or a related field is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor in high-stress situations
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and transfer patients, as needed
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, MVR screening, TB screening, and physical.
  • Safely operate a wheelchair passenger and stretcher transportation vehicle.
  • Must be flexible to be placed on-call for after hours, holidays, and weekend rotation.
  • Must be capable of driving in inclement weather.
  • Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available.

  • 17.20 hr - $17.70 hr plus an additional $4.57 hr in benefits.
