The Clinic Manager is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and clinical operations of the ASC. This role involves managing patient care, ensuring quality standards, and supervising nursing staff to deliver optimal care. The Clinica Manager collaborates with other healthcare professionals, administrators, and leadership to establish and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols. They play a key role in patient safety, staff development, and fostering a positive work environment. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and clinical expertise, as well as the ability to manage resources effectively and address complex patient care needs.
Key Responsibiilties:
Staff Management: Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure high standards of care and performance.
Patient Care Oversight: Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care by adhering to evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate clinical practices, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to maintain high-quality patient outcomes.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, resolve issues, and optimize patient outcomes.
Staff Scheduling and Resource Management: Oversee staff schedules, manage resources, and ensure that staffing levels meet patient care needs while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in the development, implementation, and review of departmental policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
Training and Development: Provide education and professional development opportunities for nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Patient and Family Advocacy: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, addressing concerns and ensuring a patient-centered approach to care.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks to patient safety, ensuring timely interventions and reporting of incidents or near-misses.
Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate patient records, manage clinical documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
Educational Requirments: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Clinical experience in the managed department preferred.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Nursing leadership or management certification (e.g., Nurse Executive-Board Certified (NE-BC)) preferred.
