KU MedWest Ambulatory Surgery Center is a multi-specialty outpatient facility with 3 ORs and 1 procedure room jointly owned and operated by the University of Kansas Health System and physician investors; Managed by Surgical Care Affiliates; 6 Recovery Bays; Specialties include, but are not limited to: Gastroenterology, Pain Management, ENT, Orthopedics, Plastics, General Surgery, & Ophthalmology, 6000 cases/year. KU MedWest Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an experienced and motivated CNA to join our growing team. This individual must be highly motivated, dependable, and be a great team player. Our team enjoys working in a pleasant, professional environment as part of a collaborative team to deliver exceptional service to our patients, surgical teammates, and physicians.
The position is full-time. Day Shift, no weekends, no call, no holidays. Mon- Fri, 5 day work 0630-1500 ~or~ 4-day work week 0630-1630.
Hours 0630-1500 (may vary with case load).
Key Responsibilities:
The CNA is responsible for the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility while meeting patient needs. The CNA performs duties in the Peri-operative setting according to scope of practice designated by the facility position description, role and responsibilities and job description, including: vital signs, POC testing, escorting patients throughout the facility, ordering and stocking supplies, data entry and documentation, phone calls, and assisting nursing with duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years CNA experience preferred.
- Fast- pace outpatient setting or ambulatory surgery experience preferred
- Current BLS
- Certificate of completion of CNA training
