Regular Full-Time (Req# 2025-008) Varying 8-hour shifts with rotating days off, weekends, and holidays; 40 hours per week for full-time employees. Occasional overtime and schedule changes may be required.
Kuakini Medical Center
Under the general direction of the Pharmacist, provides assistance to the Pharmacist as required, and performs duties primarily related to the preparation and dispensing of various forms of medications, including calculating medication doses, filling and labeling medications, maintaining computerized patient profiles, charging/crediting, medication delivery, stocking, floor stock inspections and other Pharmacy-related duties as required or instructed. Duties are performed in accordance with standard practices of the profession, departmental and Health System policies, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards, and State and Federal laws, maintaining high professional standards and quality of patient Services rendered. A licensed Pharmacist is required to check all work performed by the Pharmacy Technician.
High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Some college background preferred. One (1) year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred; or other experience in the healthcare setting (e.g., experience as a licensed practical nurse). Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred. Prior knowledge of metric system and medical terminology preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
Starting Hourly Rate $24.25
