POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, machinery, and equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical issues efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspection and Diagnostics:
Perform thorough inspections of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to identify and diagnose issues.
Utilize diagnostic tools to evaluate mechanical and electrical systems.
Repairs and Maintenance:
Conduct repairs on powertrain, brake systems, transmissions, tires, and electrical components.
Maintain and repair UTVs, vehicles, and other mechanical equipment.
Address additional repair needs as identified.
Preventative Maintenance:
Schedule and conduct regular preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reduce breakdown risks.
Identify potential future issues and address them proactively.
Parts and Inventory Management:
Order and manage parts and supplies necessary for repairs and maintenance.
Ensure inventory is well-stocked and organized for timely repairs.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
Input records into the Fleetio tracking program for monitoring and compliance.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and correctly.
Team and Customer Interaction:
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient repair services.
Communicate effectively with customers (when applicable), providing clear explanations and repair estimates.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles, machinery, and mechanical systems.
Tools and Equipment Knowledge:
Familiarity with a wide range of tools, diagnostic equipment, and heavy machinery.
Problem Solving:
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and technical issues effectively.
Attention to Detail:
Precision in completing repairs and maintenance tasks accurately.
Communication:
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and repair processes to customers or team members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a formal mechanic apprenticeship or technical training program preferred.
At least 3 years of experience as a mechanic or in a related role.
Certifications (e.g., ASE) preferred but not required.
Knowledge of Ford and Toyota vehicles is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work will take place in a workshop, garage, and outdoor settings.
Exposure to various weather conditions and heavy machinery.
Occasional overtime, weekend, or holiday work may be required.
SCHEDULE
Full-time, with open availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
