Position Overview:
The Mechanic Helper plays a critical role in supporting the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment, contributing to the efficient operation of Kualoa Ranch. This position assists with vehicle repairs, preventive maintenance, and inventory management while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The role offers valuable hands-on experience and training in automotive and equipment maintenance, with responsibilities that may include test-driving vehicles to verify repairs and performing routine maintenance to ensure operational safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist mechanics with vehicle and equipment repairs, including diagnosing issues and performing necessary repairs.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and operational readiness of vehicles and equipment.
Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper completion of repairs.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment, including tool and parts inventory management.
Work in various environmental conditions, including outdoors, rain, and muddy terrain, as needed.
Communicate effectively with Kualoa staff from various departments and, on occasion, guests to ensure seamless coordination and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma required.
Some experience in automotive maintenance or working with hand tools is preferred.
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain and mud.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Schedule:
Full-time position with open availability, including weekends and holidays as required.
