Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
- Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash and credit card payments.
- Set up and break down market displays, ensuring a clean and organized space.
- Restock and maintain product displays, fridges, and freezers.
- Unpack deliveries, verify inventory, and label merchandise.
- Assist vendors with their product displays and supply needs.
- Monitor product quality, remove expired or damaged items, and participate in inventory counts.
- Support promotional activities, such as signage and in-store displays.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and assist with other tasks as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Frequent walking, reaching, handling merchandise, and stocking shelves.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of retail, farmers market, or customer service experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Experience in a farmers market, pop-up shop, or local food retail environment.
- Knowledge of local agriculture and farm-to-table practices.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
