Job Summary

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting Zip Tour guests using Kualoa Ranch vehicles between the main ranch and the zip tour site. This role includes organizing guests, assisting with vehicle entry and exit, ensuring all participants have completed the Participant Agreement / Assumption of Risk form, and verifying that they meet zip tour body size requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Interaction: Uphold and represent Kualoa Ranch's core values of Aloha, Malama, Laulima, Mahalo, and Po'okela during all guest interactions.
• Transportation Duties: Safely operate Kualoa Ranch vehicles on dirt roads to transport guests to and from the zip tour site.
• Vehicle Preparation: Perform daily vehicle maintenance tasks, including refueling, checking oil levels, monitoring tire pressure, and cleaning both the interior and exterior.
• Guest Engagement: Check in guests and provide engaging narration during transportation, including information about the ranch's history, preservation efforts, and Hawaiian culture.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• A clean Driver's Abstract from the DMV.
• Completion of Kualoa Ranch's driver certification training program.
• Proficiency in driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with large groups confidently.
• Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and responsibility.
• Capability to perform physical labor and repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Comfort driving on rough dirt roads in various weather conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and dusty environments.
